Hey there, guys and gals, Techie here with a new site update.

Writing on the CATverse has resumed! That's right, your two intrepid CATverse authors are BACK TO WORK, ZOMG!

First, the Captain has started posting the long awaited (by me, at any rate) story Small World!

Second, I myself have a Scarecrow-centric CATverse story waiting in the wings to be posted in a couple of days, once I'm back home with the Captain: Girls on Film! 

Third, if you're a member of DeviantArt, you can now join the official CAT fan-club! Check it out here! You can post Batman-universe fan art as well as CATverse Batverse fan art, if you so desire!

 Fourth, if you're not yet a member of the new CATverse forum...well, why the heck not? Things are seriously heating up over there and soon, we'll be announcing the contest in which you can win a copy of the first four arcs of the CATverse as a book! Come on over here and join the discussion!

Fifth, an editing overhaul of the ENTIRE universe is slated over the next month and a half, tightening up stories, patching plot holes and fixing errors, so keep an eye out for new REVISED and REWRITTEN versions of your favorite CATverse stories! 

And finally, the CATverse has made it to Fandom!Secrets, the LJ community. Check out what somebody posted!

OLD NEWS 

March 31st, 2010

Well, boys and girls, it's been a long three months since I updated the site, but I have some really good excuses as to why I wasn't able to. (Ultimately, I could pull the 'My Mom Died' card, but that would be a little bit Bruce Wayne of me, don't you think?) In addition to the whole 'mother dying snafu', your beloved Techie has been on the road for a theatre festival in sunny Fresno, CA for the past month and a half.

But, I'm back now, and here's all the news that's fit to print (and some that isn't!).

The first eight pages of Villainy! have finally hit the 'Photo Spreads' page, so go and have a look-see at 'em, if you are so inclined. Also in the pipeline, a few new chapters to things I've been neglecting horribly; in April, I hope to finish Planes, Trains and Automobiles, as well as update both Grudge and Fork in the Road. What else will be coming your way? God willing, the next chapters of All Bad Girls Go to Arkham and Mi Familia, plus some new stuff from the Captain. Nothing is written in stone, though; as we're both preparing to move to Pennsylvania in April, we'll have to see how it all goes.

As always, thanks for sticking by us, kids, through all our sporadic updates (and, of course, the lack thereof), we lurve you.

Hey there, ladies and germs, coming to you live from the great state of Maryland, your webmistress Techie here with some news! New stories, new content, new layout! Hooray! Uploads of Villainy! pages and scriptage are coming your way in time for the new year, but of particular note in this update, a new story in arc five:

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Which will be completed (Cthulhu willing) by New Year's Day. Also coming just in time for Christmas, (also elder God willing):  Fork in the Road

Well, after several months on the road, your beloved Webmistress is back and ready to tackle your every CATverse related need! While I was off having whirlwind adventures, the Villainy! site unfortunately imploded, but fear not! All Villainy! content is being moved here ASAP.

In other news, now that we're back and ready for action, the site Story Arcs page has been updated like whoa, and several new stories added, as well as "COMING SOON" notes tacked to titles that will be appearing online by the first of the new year. For those of you too lazy to go look, have some linkage:

Hey there, guys and gals. The timeline's just been updated to include all the stories that have been posted recently, including some that slipped through the cracks in the past couple of months. On the Villainy! front, know that the comic is currently on temporary haitus due to technical difficulties. Page eight is nearly ready for posting, but we've gotta wait for the story to continue 'cause of various factors. We'll be back before you know it, though!

Happy New Year, guys and gals! -party blowers errupt, streamers fall from the sky- Just an update to let you know that yes, we're still alive and yes, we're still writing and yes, things are progressing. We're gearing up for the launch of Villainy! so we're very busy, busy bees! Look for more updates in the future and if you haven't already signed up for membership to the site, you totally should! Ladies and gentlemen, Techie here, coming to you live from the Captain and Al's living room. (No foolin', we're together for Christmas!) The end of the year approaches and with it, the hopeful launching of Villainy!, still (as far as I know) slated for January '09. For Christmas, we're bringing you a very special treat from CAT as thanks for making us as successful as you have. We adore you guys!

Frabulous day, calloo, callay!

...I don't know why I'm chanelling Jervis Tetch either. Shut up.

The end of the year is rapidly approaching, as it is wont to do, what with time marching on and all, and we're hard at work on improving the CATverse in all its aspects. I myself am editing a few old stories that needed some polish and Captain (now working under the pen name of 'Twinings', by the way) has just posted a new story, which will be added to the timeline in a few minutes.

New features on the site that we're happy to announce are a fic reccomendation list (see 'Fic Recs' in the sidebar) and we're still working on the Number One Fans page. Now, you don't have to send us fanart, there's been some confusion about that, you can just drop us a note telling us how you found us, why you like the CATverse, etc. No worries if you're not artistically gifted :D

Anywhoodle, I have work to do. The CATverse is only one thing that I work on, so enjoy the story recs and...stuff. Lord, I need caffeine. Be sure to check out the forum, too!

Wow! Is it almost time for Halloween already? Geez, 2008 just flew by, didn't it? I have to apologize to all our fans because, frankly, Captain and I have been made of suck and fail this year when it comes to updating. I myself have spent most of the past five months traveling and the time before that was taken up by moving into a new apartment. Captain's had some setbacks of her own as well and she's taking a brief hiatus from the CATverse for the time being as a result. Sometimes, real life just gets in the way of fiction, much as we wish it weren't so. 

In happier news, we have a new project in the works for 2009 called 'Villainy', a webcomic based on the CATverse. You can find more info about it by clicking the link in the sidebar. Also, we're going to be putting up a page dedicated to our fans, including all the lovely messages and fanart we're received since we launched in 2006. Good golly, almost two years. Does it feel like that long to you, Captain?

...I miss the Captain. Sigh.

Anyway! If you want to be included in our 'Number One Fans!' page, please just drop us a link to your fanart or leave us a message through the contact form available in the sidebar. Without you guys, the CATverse probably wouldn't have ever grown to such massive proportions.

Well, okay, it might have, but we wouldn't be quite so happy about it as we currently are. You guys make us gleeful, really you do.

And maybe, just maybe, if I can talk my most villainous cohorts into it, we might have something very, very special and very, very exclusive for you in 2009. Stay tuned!

More than six months into CAT's second year online and the Captain and I are in a bit of a rut. Not to worry, though! We're working slowly, but steadily on the next arc of the universe! The website is going to be undergoing a few changes soon as well, but nothing too terribly drastic. Also, we're preparing something very special for 2009, but we're keeping it under wraps for the time being. One thing we'd like to ask of you guys, though: please, if you're reading the stories and you like them, let us know, okay? Leaving us a review on fanfiction.net or writing us a line using the contact page here on the site is very important to us. We write this stuff hoping that someone else is loving it as much as we are--if we never hear from you guys, we start to think that maybe nobody likes it at all. If you're our audience, stand up, shout it out, let us hear it! You mean the world to us, really, and without your kind words of encouragement, we probably couldn't keep going.

(Also? Reviews make us reeeeeally productive.)

Now if you'll excuse me, we have work to do and not much time to do it in! Enjoy the CATverse in all its wacky glory.
